Since 03 March 2010 I own a BeBook One from Endless Ideas B.V. [1]. On this page I collect my experiences with this product trying to explain the Pro's and Con's.

Endless Ideas BV

First of all I think the producing company Endless Ideas B.V. is a little bit obscure. It has a website which contains the same name of their product, but the company behind the product is rather invisible. Why? I don't have the faintest idea!

DRM Support

Most important on eBook readers is which DRM [2] they support. In case of the BeBook the Adobe DRM (supports EPUB and PDF files ) is used. The older MobiPocket DRM can also be used when you downgrade the firmware to an older version. Please note that downgrading has to be done using an 1GB SD Card (not larger and also smaller than 512Mb).

Organize

To organize knowledge (an e-book contains that kind of information) is terrible difficult. The Readers does not support any mechanism to make this easier for the user. This will certainly become an important battle in the eBook market. Strange the producers does not do anything about meta-information at this point.
