The Corona COVID-19 Website is Desktop Application for showing the latest Data & Graphs for the COVID-19 decease.
The Data Source is a GIT-Repository made by Johns Hopkins CSSE [1].


The website is available and fully operational:

  • User can select his own 6 countries from a total of 45 countries.
  • Documentation has been made entirely.
  • Available language are English and Dutch.
    The language is automatic selected base on your IP-Address.
  • Website is made for use on Desktops and large iPads, not on smartphones.
    The tables in particular are too large, all other features/functions work as designed.

De Corona COVID-19 Website is Desktop Applicatie, die de laatste gegevens en grafieken over de COVID-19 uitbraak toont.
De Data-Bron is afkomstig van een GIT-Repository vervaardigd door Johns Hopkins CSSE [1].


De website is beschikbaar en volledig operationeel.

  • Gebruiker kan zelf 6 landen selecteren uit 35 beschikbare landen.
  • Documentatie is geheel op orde.
  • Beschikbare talen zijn Engels en Nederlands.
    De taal wordt automatisch bepaald obv het IP-Adres.
  • Website is bedoeld voor gebruik op Desktop en grote iPads, niet voor smartphones.
    Met name de tabellen zijn te groot, alle andere functies werken zoals ontworpen.

Purpose - Doel

Website/App Purpose Doel van de website/Applicatie

The main purpose is comparison of the course of the disease in different countries. The comparison is based on individual country reports of new cases, deaths, recoveries. At this moment there are 2 ways to compare:

  • Data comparison in figures,
  • Visual comparison using graphs.

If someone has suggestions for more or better comparison please contact the webmaster (See the mail-icon in the footer left below).

Het hoofddoel is de vergelijking van het verloop van de ziekte in verschillende landen. De vergelijking is gebaseerd op de individuele rapportage door de landen van nieuwe gevallen, overlijdens, herstellingen. Op dit moment bestaat de vergelijking uit:

  • Vergelijking van de cijfers
  • Vergelijking met behulp van grafieken.

Als iemand suggesties heeft voor andere vergelijkingen, stuur dan een email naar de Webmaster. Gebruik hiervoor het mail-icon in de voettekst links onder.

Tables / Tabellen

Tables Tabellen
Tables WHO implements 2 tables which compare data on 6 selected countries:
  • List of cases, deaths and recoveries of a country per 100.000 inhabitants on the last date of report.
  • List of total/daily cases, deaths and recoveries of a country per day.

CBS Tables
Difference between the CBS mortality figures with the RIVM figures. RIVM does not measure all COVID-19 mortality (the Netherlands only).

De WHO tabellen implementeren 2 tabellen met vergelijking over 6 geselecteerde landen:
  • Lijst van nieuwe gevallen, overledenen en herstelden per 100.000 inwoners op de laatste rapportage datum.
  • Lijst van totale/dagelijkse nieuwe gevallen, overledenen en herstelden per land per dag.

Tabellen CBS
Verschil tussen de CBS sterftecijfers met de RIVM cijfers. Het RIVM meet niet alle COVID-19 sterfte (alleen voor Nederland).

Graphs

There are 3 different comparison graphs:
  • New Cases: Shows the daily new cases for each of the six selected countries.
  • Deaths: Shows the daily deaths for each of the six selected countries.
  • Recoveries: Shows the daily recoveries for each of the six selected countries.
 Er zijn 3 verschillende vergelijkingsgrafieken:
  • Nieuwe Gevallen: Toont de dagelijkse nieuw gemelde besmettingen voor elk geselecteerd land.
  • Overleden: Toont de dagelijkse overlijdens voor elk geselecteerd land.
  • Herstelden: Toont de dagelijkse herstelden voor elk geselecteerd land.
Please note not every country reports each of the 3 items. Houd er rekening mee dat niet ieder land elk onderwerp rapporteert.

The Analysis section shows sortable tables/list (Datatables) and graphs for New-Cases/Deaths and over the last 12 weeks.

The Data is on-line on the fly selectable per countries. Shortcuts have been made to make comparison easier, meaning:

afr : Afrika (Parts) aus: Australia asia: Asia (Parts)
bene: Benelux euregio: Euregio eur : Europe (Parts)
medi: Mediterrean (Parts) nam: 'North America (Parts) sam: South America (Parts)
* Parts: Not all countries are included.

The tables above show the DataTables tabs where:

  • The plus icon (+) shows in a reduced form the weeks 1 to 5 not shown.
  • The arrows to the right of the headers indicate the sorting used.
 De Analyse tabbladen tonen door de gebruiker te sorteren tabellen/lijsten (Datatables) en grafieken voor Nieuwe Gevallen/Overledenen over de laatste 12 weken.

De gegevens zijn on-line on-the-fly selecteerbaar per land. Er zijn snelkoppelingen gemaakt om het vergelijken gemakkelijker te maken.

Bovenstaande tabellen tonen de DataTables tabs waar:

  • De plus ikoon (+) toont in de verkleinde vorm de niet getoonde weken 1 t/m 5.
  • De pijltjes rechts van de kopteksten geven de gebruikte sortering aan.

Overledenen in VK, Zweden, Duitsland, Italië, Nederland en Spanje
There is a common input field for choosing the countries in New Cases and Deceased. Er is een gezamenlijk invoerveld voor de keuze van de landen in Nieuwe Gevallen en Overledenen.

Preferences Voorkeuren
User preferences can be filled to select your own tables and graphs.
  • Select 6 different countries.
    If you select the same country twice or more an error will be shown.
  • Select a startdate for the beginning of date for tables and graphs.
    The Corona disease has started in China so the beginning is earlier than the European Countries. The USA is the latest.
    The date has to be in 2020 and has to be at least 30 days before today.

The Save/Reload button will be only working when you fulfill on all requirements. On success the website will reload and the new selection is available in the Tables and Graph sections.

Gebruikers voorkeuren kunnen worden gespecificeerd voor het samenstellen van eigen tablellen en grafieken.
  • Selecteer 6 verschillende landen.
    Als een land 2 of meer keer wordt gekozen zal er een foutboodschap worden getoond.
  • Selecteer een begin datum waarop tabellen en grafieken worden aangevangen.
    Het Corona virus is begonnen in China, daarna in Europa en vervolgens naar de USA.
    De begin datum moet liggen in 2020 en dient minimaal 30 dagen voor vandaag te zijn.

De Bewaren knop zal alleen functioneren als aan genoemde voorwaarden is voldaan. Bij succesvol invoeren wordt de website opnieuw gestart met de gewijzigde gegevens in de tab-bladen.

The Reload Website reloads the website. Reloading is necessary to refresh the new data into the website or to load the changed preferences of the user. De Ververs Website herlaadt de website. Herladen is noodzakelijk om de nieuwe gegevens te verversen of om gewijzigde gebruiker voorkeuren te laden.

New cases is the name for new infections in humans. Nieuwe gevallen is de benaming voor nieuwe besmettingen bij mensen.

Coronaviruses are a group of related viruses that cause diseases in mammals and birds. Coronavirussen zijn een onderfamilie van virussen met positief enkelstrengig RNA als genetisch materiaal. Ze danken hun naam aan de krans (Latijn: corona) rond de virusdeeltjes.
COVID-19 is one of the Coronaviruses and causes the global disaster since 2019. COVID-19 is een van de Coronavirussen en veroorzaakt de huidige pandemie sinds 2019.
