IBM DeveloperWork Migration Station [1] is an information-source for migrating to DB2.
IBM Migration Toolkit
The IBM Migration Toolkit provides a full-functioning GUI interface that offers multiple options to refine and customize each migration. The toolkit is very portable, making it possible to import and convert on a machine remote from where the source or target databases are installed.
The IBM Migration Toolkit supports migrations from source databases:
- Oracle
- Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE)
- Sybase SQL Anywhere (ASA)
- Microsoft SQL Server.
It supports migrations to target databases:
- DB2 for Linux, DB2 for UNIX, and Windows
- DB2 for i5/OS, DB2 for z/OS, and Informix.
The IBM Migration Toolkit is available in English and can be run from a variety of hardware platforms. Try the latest version of MTK, which includes support for DB2 LUW 9.7.
The IBM Migration Toolkit is currently available in two configurations:
- Microsoft Windows platforms (Windows 2000 and XP)
- Linux and Unix platforms
