Since I have a Bread Machine baking loafs is one of my favorites in the weekends. Of course the baking itself is very easy, but creating different kinds of loafs is nice and appetising.

Buttermilk Waldkornbread

Buttermilk (Dutch: Karnemelk) is a typical Dutch milk drink. It has practically no grease and has a little sour taste.

  • Koopmans Mix voor Waldkornbrood Donker Volkoren (Mix for dark brown bread)
  • 350 ml buttermilk
  • 65 g Dr. Sunflower - & Pumpkin pits

Pumpkin pit Cheese Bread

Mother Nature has created some very delicious things. When I go to my work in Amstelveen I drive through a very small village called 'de Kwakel', where the local bakery makes 'pompoemkas', a small bread with pumpkinpits (Dutch: pompoenpit) with cheese (Dutch: kaas). To make such marvellous bread use:

  • (Koopmans) Brown Bread Mix
  • 3 dl handwarm water
  • 25 g butter or 3 spoons olive oil
  • 250 g shredded cheddar cheese
  • 75 g pumpkin pits
