Apple Siri

Introduction

Siri is the name of Apple's personal digital assistant. It's basically voice control that talks back to you, that understands relationships and context, and with a personality straight out of Pixar. Ask Siri questions, or ask Siri to do things for you, just like you would ask a real assistant, and Siri will help keep you connected, informed, in the right place, and on time. You can even use Siri's built in dictation feature to enter text almost everywhere by simply using your voice.

How to use Siri

1. Press and hold the Home button on the iPhone/iPad.
   • Alternative say Hey Siri.
2. Start speaking your command.
   • Alternative 'Ask a question'.

Edit your command

1. Press and hold the Home button or say Hey Siri.
2. Dictate your request.
3. Tap on the text you spoke in order to edit.
4. Make your changes and tap done on the bottom right of the keyboard.

Adding Relationship data

1. Launch the Contacts App
2. Tap on your contact card
3. Tap the edit button in the top right corner of the screen.
4. Scroll down and tap Add related name.
5. Tap the relationship type (Default: Parent).
6. Select a relationship type.
   You can also create a custom label.
7. Tap the information button next to Related name.
8. Select a contact
9. Tap Done in the upper right corner when you are finished.

Sending a WhatsApp

1. Activate Siri
2. Tell Siri you want to send a WhatsApp to someone.
3. Say: Send a WhatsApp
4. Answer: Who do you want to send it to?
5. Say: "To my wife",
   Will not work, because WhatsApp does not know relations
6. Say: To <name-of-the-contact>
7. Answer: What do you want to say?
8. Say: <text>

Telephone Someone

1. Activate Siri
2. Tell siri who you wanna call:
   • Example 1: Call my wife on her iphone.
   • Example 2: Call my wife home.
