AirTag, the individual name, is made for being attached to items. That includes backpacks, key rings, and other items.

The accessory uses Precision Finding, available through the U1 chip, for precise location discoverability. This is available for Phone 11 and iPhone 12 owners, iPad owners. Utilizing the camera, augmented reality, and other features, this feature will find the AirTag down to the exact spot.

Battery

Apple’s handy Batteries widget doesn’t support the AirTag, but you can follow these simple steps to check the current battery charge of your AirTag at any time. The current battery charge level of your AirTag is illustrated by a tiny icon below the name of your AirTag that appears upon selecting it in the Find My app’s “Items” tab.

  1. Open the Find My app on your iPhone, iPad or Mac.
  2. In the Find My app, select the tab labeled “Items.”
  3. Now choose your AirTag from the list of items.

  • AirTags are couple with one Apple ID.
  • AirTags cannot be tracked by and shared with multiple family members.
