Offline "Ulmon Rome" gives information on what's around you, intersting places and restaurants. "Yelp" does the same online, but with rankings of the different restaurants.
Transportation
An excellent iPhone app for the Metro, Tram & Busses is "Probus Rome". However you need an Internet connection.
